Natural Hormone Support for Women

What are hormones?

In order to understand your body and its needs, it’s helpful to understand how your body works.

A healthy endocrine system = healthy moods, skin, bowels, and more, so let’s dive in!

Your endocrine system is comprised of all of the glands in your body that produce hormones, including your thyroid, pancreas, and for women your ovaries. Hormones are like little chemical messengers in your body that regulate metabolism, growth and development, tissue function, sexual function, reproduction, sleep, and mood, among other things. These messengers are produced by the glands and secreted directly into the circulatory system to achieve homeostasis (balance).

When our hormones are out of balance, it can contribute to migraines, insomnia, weak bones, weight gain, hot flashes, mood swings, infertility, and low libido, to name a few. Hormonal balance can also affect the way we handle stress. Over time, these hormone imbalances can lead to rapid aging and increase the risk of disease.

Your body is constantly working on the difficult task of keeping your system in balance. Stress, poor diet and food choices, inadequate sleep, synthetic hormones, genetic factors, and less active lifestyles can all throw hormones out of whack and create health problems. But there is good news! Young Living has some essential oils and other products to support your body in this delicate balancing act!

Thyroid

You can be proactive in supporting your thyroid.  This supplement contains iodine, and the porcine glandular extracts L’Cysteine & L-Cystine, which your thyroid needs to create hormones. By consuming this supplement and having a healthy lifestyle, you can support both your metabolism and your thyroid.

Thyromin™ is a great supplement to support thyroid health. It is a special blend of porcine glandular extracts, herbs, amino acids, minerals, and therapeutic-grade essential oils in a perfectly balanced formula that maximizes nutritional support for healthy thyroid function.* The thyroid gland regulates body metabolism, energy, and body temperature.

Essential Oils and their roles in supporting your body systems

Spearmint provides digestive system and respiratory support.

Peppermint provides digestive support by supporting healthy intestinal function and gastrointestinal comfort. It also supports the nervous and respiratory systems as well as healthy muscles, bones, and skin.

Myrtle supports the respiratory system and promotes healthy skin and hair. It has been researched for its effects on supporting glandular balance.

Myrrh is a very powerful antioxidant and may support healthy skin.

Cortisol

Cortisol is a hormone produced by the adrenal gland in response to stress and low blood sugar.

You remember the fight or flight survival response. This hormone is there to help you survive and it is important! Nevertheless, if it is produced and released too often, it can be harmful to your body. You can experience feelings of fatigue, difficulty maintaining a healthy weight, and difficulty maintaining optimal health of cardiovascular systems.

By supporting cortisol levels you will wake up feeling more rested and less on edge. Maintain your desired weight. Feel more emotionally balanced and able to take on whatever life may throw at you next.

Endocrine system

This supplement contains DHEA, which is the most common hormone in the body. Your body produces its own DHEA but after age 20, production starts to decline. That means a supplement can be very helpful for aging women. Click here to see what supplements I use, to support my endocrine system I use Endogize.

You need this hormone because it is needed to produce over 50 other hormones, including estrogen. Think of all the things older women commonly experience, or maybe you are experiencing them yourself. Get this supplement STAT so you can maintain your youthful health.

Don’t confuse the word COMMON with NORMAL. Just because something it common, does not mean it is normal. This supplement is going to support a healthy endocrine system so you don’t have to be one of those women with a common (NOT NORMAL) side effect of imbalanced hormones. It is especially supportive of the adrenal glands.

The adrenal glands are located on top of each kidney. The hormones that they produce help to regulate your blood sugar and blood pressure. They help your body burn fat and use protein. They also release cortisol, your stress hormone. So by supporting these glands, you’re supporting your overall cardiovascular health, your metabolism, weight management, and your body’s ability to manage stress and maintain energy.

The following essential oils that support many systems:

Ginger is supportive of the digestive system; it is commonly used to soothe, comfort, and balance digestive discomfort.

Myrrh is a very powerful antioxidant and stimulates the immune system.

Cassia smells and tastes like cinnamon and supports healthy blood sugar levels.

FemiGen

FemiGen capsules are for those ladies who are of childbearing age and want to give extra support to their lady parts.

It is formulated with herbs and amino acids that may support female health. It contains the following herbs: wild yam, dong quai, black cohosh, damiana and epimedium, black and blue cohosh. All of these herbs contain phytoestrogens. Phytoestrogens are dietary estrogens that occur naturally in compounds found in plants. These dietary estrogens support your own body’s estrogen.

Estrogen helps bring about physical changes that occur during puberty. It also helps control the menstrual cycle and is important for childbearing. It also keeps cholesterol under control and protects bone health for both women and men. It also affects your brain, mood, bones, heart, skin, and other tissues.

This supplement contains four essential oils that help to support the female reproductive system: Fennel, Clary Sage, Sage, and Ylang Ylang. The oils also help to make this supplement function better due to more bioavailability.

Clary Sage has been used for centuries to help support the female body, particularly hormones and reproductive function

Sage helps maintain balance between estrogen and the progesterone-testosterone balance. It supports the nervous system and the adrenal cortex.

Ylang Ylang supports the adrenal glands.

Fennel supports the circulatory, glandular, respiratory, and digestive systems.

Usage: Take 2 capsules with breakfast and 2 capsules with lunch.

Keep in a cool, dry place. Do not expose to excessive heat. Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician.

 Progessence Plus Serum

This serum is a wonderful complement to FemiGen Supplement.

Progessence Plus Serum, also referred to as PP or P+, contains USP-grade progesterone (from wild yam extract). Progesterone is a hormone that is produced in the body. It regulates the menstrual cycle and is crucial for pregnancy. You also NEED progesterone to have a healthy libido. As you age, you have a natural decrease in progesterone production so this product can be very beneficial when you are starting a family and after 30 years of age.

I want you to note that USP-grade progesterone is NOT the same as ‘progestins,’ which are synthetic versions of progesterone sold by the pharmaceutical companies. Taking synthetic hormones is REALLY bad for you and can lead to life-threatening side effects. If you like to research, this is a topic worth researching. The USP-grade progesterone in Progessence Plus Serum is natural from wild yam extract.

Progessence Plus is formulated specifically for women. It contains Copaiba, Sacred Frankincense, Cedarwood, Bergamot, Peppermint, and Clove essential oils, all of which are calming and grounding, ideal for women who want to feel more relaxed and balanced.

– Progessence Plus also makes a lovely perfume.

Directions:

Apply 2–4 drops of Progessence Plus to the stomach, feet, or inner thighs each day, rotating application sites to avoid applying to the same area two days in a row. For added effect, 1–2 extra drops may be applied. Do not exceed 2 applications per day.

Note: If you’re pregnant, you don’t really need this one, so save yourself the money and restart it when your pregnancy is over.
